I never understood the big row over Merry Christmas vs. Happy Holiday.
It seems as if, to me at least, people who take offense are confused about this. After all, if you check your dictionary, holiday literally means holy day. Now, Christ Mass is of Catholic origin. You would think that most Christians in this country (being primarily Protestant) would least identify with Christ Mass and more with Holy Day.
