Founded as a Christian Nation?

People can argue back and forth about whether or not this country was founded as a xtian nation.

You know what? I don't particularly care and I don't find it particularly relevant. Hypothetically, this country could have been founded as a xtian nation. It doesn't matter. Societies evolve just as biological life evolves.

What I do care about is the propaganda strewn all over the place. Everywhere you look we see it. "In god we trust" is one. The Pledge of Allegiance is another. Other covert and under-the-radar issues are things such as not being able to hold public office if you don't believe in a god in some states; like not being able to purchase alcoholic beverages before noon on a Sunday (here in Michigan anyway); in some counties in other states you can't buy alcohol period. All of these instances are brought about by religious ideology.

My main point is not the argument of whether or not this country was founded as a nation that believed in a fairy-tale. Where the real debate lies is whether this country is becoming one that does so. Because truthfully I think that xtians find the "founding" argument irrelevant as well. They don't particularly care whether this country was founded on xtian values. What they care about is that this country be made to adhere to xtian values. Because after all, that's what it's all about, right? Evangelism? Right? Am I right? It's about converting people to believe in their lord Jesus X, right?

(LOL, this is my first post after the fact that I have decided to use X instead of...dang it! Christ...Jesus X...LOL)

Anyway. This country is indeed becoming ideologically driven by religion. Why? Because of the first amendment to our constitution and "free exercise thereof". It's fine and dandy that the founders had a good idea about which religious persecution could do to a country's subjects. Yet, they made it plainly clear that the constitution is a living document, it too evolves. The founders believed in representative government. So who does the government represent?
