Validation

Ok, we all want to be right. We want to persuade everybody else to our view-point.

I try to present an argument for my atheism. That is my right. My freedom of speech.

Yet. Validating a belief in religious dogma? Here lies the difference between non-believers and believers. Simple validation.

Those who have "faith" need no validation. Period.

It is set in "stone". I understand that, completely. There is no question that cannot be asked that is readily answered from whatever scripture is proffered to explain an argument away.

It's a cop-out. I am going to say this right now that anybody who relies on an age-old text to tell them how to live and how to interact with modernity are uninformed about what other peoples opinions are about "it". Whatever "it" is. Because when it comes right down to it...those opinions DO NOT MATTER in the scope of the gospel and the "already" validated opinions expressed thereof.

Yeah I know, it's all about what "Jesus" said about this and that. But it isn't really. It's about what OTHER people said what "Jesus" said. Anyway: he-said-she-said, da-da-da.

Can't anybody put this in perspective?
