Validation...again

Somehow it seems Xtians believe that their god is relevant to ALL of us, simply by believing it is so. This rationale in and of itself causes a great many harsh arguments that sometimes leads to violence. Because somebody doesn't want to be "wrong" in their belief.

It boils down to validation. We all want everybody else to acquiesce to the validity of our views and beliefs. For some it seems that this drive for validation inures them to their fellow mans (and womans) views.

A simple example is what color car do you prefer? Red or black? A simple question, right? It may also require some validation. Someone may answer: "It depends on the car.", in which some agreement may be reached that black is best on a '68 Camaro. A simple validation resolved.

What about religion? You could say this is not so simple. Why? What is it that causes people to be so hardened and resolved about this?
