The belief confusion

Everybody has a a preconceived notion of how they perceive and apply their belief systems (either in their own lives or within the confines of how others should live their lives in accordance with ones beliefs).

I think atheists are a bit different. On the one hand, I would wager that most atheists are pretty damn libertarian. Meaning that: "You can believe what you want to believe, and that's alright with me."

On the other hand, and I may be errant here, it seems that evangelical Xians have the opposite stance: "It's okay! But you better live by the message of God, or else."

I am almost so sick of this kind of debate. Because it seems you just can't argue with somebody of faith. No. That's wrong. You can argue all you want, specifically about the existence of a god and so forth, yet the very concept that there just might be somebody out there that might have a differing viewpoint (regardless if it is considered relevant) seems so very moot.

Atheist, Hindu, Buddhist, Shintoist, Muslim, Judaic or what have you. These ideological viewpoints aren't worth a grain of salt.

Faith blinds people. It blinds them to the reality of there fellow human beings. Because their "god" applies to everything and everybody. Regardless of the faith they believe.

This is the root of ALL "evil".
