I feel sincerely sorry for people...

...for allowing themselves to be foolish. Foolish in believing in a lie. I'm not talking of a little white lie, I'm talking of a lie on the grandest scale.
In my last post Rudy commented and was attempting to present his explanation of gods existence and how he CHOOSES you to believe in him, through some kind of "code".
I do feel sorry for people. Really, I do. And I understand that it is human nature to be fallible, I include myself. That's what science is ultimately about. To explain the falsehoods (or truths even) that what we have been led to believe that are right and true may in fact be otherwise...or, conversely, right on the mark.
The lie is this: that Jesus lived and breathed and was the son of a god.
There is no historical evidence to prove otherwise. On the contrary there are archaeological findings that, if not to prove, then point towards a centuries long fabrication of the very existence of a man who was molded after another who many consider mythological.

Enough said. I took a break and on reflection have come to this ultimate conclusion. People who believe this have been living a lie and either recognize it and are in denial, recognize it and use it for their own gain, don't recognize it and follow blindly, or don't recognize it...try to rationalize it only to come up with some maddening theory for it because if you read your bible and try to rationalize a lie, what else do you have but greater confusion into which you dive into a maelstrom of ridiculous hypotheses.

It's all a lie, yet people really don't want to be the fool.
